The Penn State Wind Energy Club would like to ask for you financial support for the 2018 Collegiate Wind Competition.

The Penn State Wind Energy Club introduces students of varying disciplines to wind energy. We work to involve students in a hands on way to learn about the various aspects of the wind industry

Our club will once again be participating in the Department of Energy’s Collegiate Wind Competition. This year’s competition is an engineering challenge in which our club will design and build a small wind turbine that will be brought to the 2018 Windpower conference in Chicago, IL to compete against 12 other Universities.
This year we will be exploring the club’s continued research of increasing the efficiency of the axial flux generator as well as aerodynamic design improvements.

The team will also be developing a wind turbine business concept as a part of the competition as well as a design for a 100 MW wind farm in Pennsylvania.

Please consider supporting the Penn State Wind Energy Club. All contributions will be greatly appreciated and donations of $100.00 or more will have the donor’s company logo on the club’s competition T-shirt. Sponsoring options beyond t-shirts are available.
